After installing Ubuntu Linux on a laptop with screen resolution 1920×1080 pixels or more, you may find that the icons and text appear to be small. You can alleviate the problem by taking the following steps.
1. Install gnome-tweak-tool
$ sudo add-apt-repository universe $ sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool
2. Run gnome-tweak-tool
- Click on “Show Applications” to sell all applications. Click on Tweaks.
- Click on the Fonts tab. Increase the font size for Window Title, Interface, Document and Monospace.
- Increase the Scaling Factor.
3. Web browser settings
Fine tune web browser settings. For example, in Chrome, click Settings. Increase font size and page zoom values.
